Get Middle-Class Millionaire Thinking
It’s Hard Work, Sacrifice, Discipline, and Thrift -
It’s real tough out there in today’s economy. I know. Moving along growing my website, I keep hearing about it—from all businesses. Monmouth County businesses (and by direct result families) know the picture. It’s becoming harder to be an “Average American.”

That’s troubling because most county residents are likely to consider themselves to be average, middle class types. In his book, The Middle-Class Millionaire: The Rise of the New Rich and How They Are Changing America, “wealth guru” Russ Alan Prince found that “middle thinking” can be quite advantageous. Hard work, sacrifice, discipline, and thrift do pay off—especially in hard times.
The author identified several tired and true Middle-Class Millionaire (MCMs) traits:
• Devoted workers—MCMs are “always” available for work—averaging 70+ hours per week.
• Big networkers—They know a lot of people and keep up on their industry news and events.
• Unafraid of failure— MCMs understand business error isn’t fatal; 75% have had setbacks.
• Non-corporate types—More than 80% own their business and see it as key to their success.
• Follow the money—MCMs have little love of job; compensation is paramount.
• Self-perception—They’re fundamentally satisfied people.
• Family comes first—Obligation to loved ones is above all others.
• Seek out help—A wise business advisor can help identify risks and rewards
